The consumer’s right of withdrawal

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a transaction that is predominantly not part of his or her commercial activities or his or her activities in self-employment.

The following withdrawal policy applies to the supply of goods:

You have the right to withdraw this contract within 14 days without stating a reason.

The deadline for cancelling is 14 days from the day on which you or a third party nominated by you, who is not the carrier, took receipt of the last item(s).

In order to exercise your right to withdraw, you must inform us (Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, Balinger Strasse 31 A, 70567 Stuttgart; telephone 0800-2423546 (free phone number); fax 0711–7181126; email info@die-bibel.de) by means of a clear declaration (for example, by letter, by fax or by email) of your decision to withdraw this contract. You can use the attached standard withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not obligatory.

In order to withdraw within the stated timeframe, you need only to have sent your notification of your exercising of the right to withdraw before the deadline for cancelling.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw this contract, we must pay back to you all monies that we have received from you, including the delivery charges (with the exception of any additional charges that have arisen as a result of you choosing a different means of delivery from the low-cost standard delivery that we offer). We must make this payment without delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which we received your notification of your cancellation of this contract. We will repay you using the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless an alternative arrangement has been expressly made with you. In no circumstances will you be charged a fee for this repayment.
We can delay the repayment until we have received the goods back from you or until you are able to prove that you have dispatched the goods, whichever is the earlier.
It is your responsibility to return or hand over the goods without delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your intention to cancel this policy. The goods should be returned or handed over to KNO VA, Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft, Remittendenabteilung VA, c/o KNV Logistik, Ferdinand-Jühlke-Str. 7, 99095 Erfurt. You will be regarded as having met the deadline if you dispatch the goods within 14 days.
You are responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods.
You will only be held responsible for any loss of value arising in respect of the goods if this loss of value is attributable to any interaction with the goods that is not necessary for checking their composition, features and mode of operation.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

There is no right of withdrawal in respect of contracts for the supply of audio or video recordings or computer software in sealed packaging, if the seal has been removed after delivery.

The following right of withdrawal applies to contracts for the supply of digital content not held on a physical disc (in particular software downloads):

If you have requested that the services should begin during the time within which you are entitled to cancel, then you must pay us an appropriate sum that represents the proportion of the services from which you have already benefited until the point at which you informed us of your exercising of your right to cancel, compared with the total of the services set out in the contract.
