Herr

, mein Herz ist nicht hoffärtig,

und meine Augen sind nicht stolz.

Ich gehe nicht um mit großen Dingen,

die mir zu wunderbar sind.

Ja,

ich ließ meine Seele still und ruhig werden;

wie ein kleines Kind bei seiner Mutter,

wie ein kleines Kind,

so ist meine Seele in mir.

Great matters, or in things too high for me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself,

As a child that is weaned of his mother: My soul

even as a weaned child.

Let Israel hope in the

From henceforth and for ever.
